Has it been that long?

In 2001 we began building websites. These were totally custom made, designed to be fast and very search engine friendly. Most importantly, our sites were tightly focused on addressing the specific business needs of each client. There was nothing one-size-fits-all about them, because there was nothing one-size about our clients. Even two clients in the same business required completely different marketing tactics.

We also discovered that our clients wanted to interact with their online assets in ways that suited their culture and abilities. Some wanted to do everything themselves, in which case we developed sites that were really hard for a user to break. Others didn't want to touch anything and just wanted everything handled, so we accomodated them as well. We added copywriting services, content marketing and content creation specifically for clients that loved our work and trusted us to simply get it done.

The internet has changed since 2001 and so have we. We still build custom coded solutions, but we also work with industry standard software, like WordPress and Expression Engine. What hasn't changed, though, is our focus on addressing the specific goals of our clients and helping them overcoming the business problems they face.

What's in a name?

AzulBurger... Honestly, we're named after a cheese burger. It was made with bleu cheese and it was delicious. It was called an "Azul Burger," and we laughed that it sounded like the name of a funky web design and marketing firm.

Years later, our ideas for names kept getting rejected by New York State (what a picky bunch) for various reasons. Azul Burger popped up. And here we are: a funky web design and marketing firm named after a cheese burger. I guess if the shoe fits you eat it.

By the way, that's film director Fritz Lang in the footer below.
